Ok I have a minor question, what exactly is the overbore on the Buschur pistons, is it 0.020 or is it 0.20, depending on which thread you read you seem to get a different answer. Also, what would this actually make the bore in metric units?

Since the stock bore is 81.5 as you posted then 82mm would be the new size.
Why are you asking this though? Your shop should have easily been able to tell you all this. That is if they a descent shop! Or perhaps you just didn't ask them and wanted to know?

My mechanic just wanted to know what pistons options were available so he could tell the machine shop what bore to go to. Since its basically stock, or the 0.020 overbore, I don't really have a lot of options. Don't forget mitsubishi hasn't been in Canada long, the two dealerships in my city don't even carry most of the parts needed for a job like this, and most mechanics haven't even touched a lancer yet. A lot of people still think that my car is just an evo without the turbo, its that bad up here. But thanks for the input, at least now I know what 0.020 overbore actually means in metric. If I have a choice, what would people recommend, staying stock bore, or going for the slight increase (take into account I'm going higher compression)?
