AC not working...

I bought my car in october of 2001 when the OZ first appeared on the market. its now 2005 about 4 years later and my AC doesnt work!

I have 2 questions. Is it that my AC freon or whatever it is is empty? Or do i have a fuse blown somewhere or its not working correctly?

I checked the fuse in the engine compartment bay and the fuse is fine.

I asked this because even if i have no freon left in my AC, when i drive and i switch to AC and i blast it, i dont feel my car bog down. Wouldn't i recieve that -50hp feeling when i turn on the AC even if i have no freon because it's still activating the AC pump?

Probably out of Freon. Get that crap refilled.

But I could be wrong...

If youre not getting any lag it means the compressor isnt engaging at all, could be a pulley thats broken loose, could be a bunch of stuff. Take it to a shop.

Uh, AC stands for Air Conditioning.

Heating the air is conditioning it.

The AC button just adds extra power to the air and heats/cools it as needed.
