Headlights on while switch is off

Headlights on while switch is off
I need help, has this happened to anyone:
I got a problem with my headlights, even though they are supposed to be off, they are on!
I don't get it, I turned off the car and the light switch is off and yet the freaking lights stay on, even if I remove the fuses!
Something is really wrong, the only way to turn them off is to remove the battery (+) terminal or to remove the plugs behind the light bulbs.
I did wash the car today and sprayed a little water on the engine bay but I stayed away from any electrical component
Can anyone tell me what is going on or how to fix it!
I'm leaving the battery disconnected for a couple of hours to see if things get reset.

if they were, then my car is too courteus
Lights stayed on for 24hrs. Of course I had them unplugged to avoid killing the battery.
They fixed them selves, I think there was water making contact somewhere in the relay that allowed for direct current to the headlights, but now the issue is solved thanks to the nice weather here.

Hi Boston,
I don’t have any good news for you. There are three computers running the lights. 1) The column ECU (part of the column switch assy.). 2) The front ECU (located under the bonnet in the fuse box, next to the air cleaner box) and the ETACS-ECU (behind the dash).
First a “request” comes from your light switch to the column ECU this sends out a signal along the Smart Wire System to the Front-ECU. The Front-ECU incorporates relays to switch on the lights. At the same time the ETACS-ECU monitors the SWS and if the lights are left ON and the ignition switch is turned to OFF, then the ETACS-ECU sends out a “switch lights off request” to the Front-ECU (after a delay time).
You didn’t say if it was the all the lights (headlamps, tail lamps, parkers).
If your problem arose after hosing the engine bay you might take a look around the Front-ECU.
******* Warning, do not attempt the following if your car is under warranty or you are not competent. Removing the front ECU may damage it! I will not be held responsible! **************
The Front-ECU is the big green box in the engine bay fuse box. I recommend disconnecting the battery at the –VE terminal before unplugging the ECU. Look at the connector terminals for corrosion or any irregularities. Reinstall the ECU. Reconnect the –VE terminal. The engine ECU will be reset and the car may not run well for a while.
************
I have not looked at my ECU to see if it is sealed. If it is not sealed it is possible moisture is causing problems with the ECU. Being in the engine bay I would say it is sealed.
Unfortunately the only probable cause of a failure lies in the ECUs or the combination switch. Any other type of failure would stop the lights from coming on!
My suggestion is to do nothing. If it happens again take it to the dealer.
If it does happen again take note if the parkers and tail lights come on. Whether you can switch any of the lighting functions.
