Alright- not out of the woods yet....been driving the car for a while and no idle probelms. i turn on the ac and it almost dies. it idles fine at normal times like around 600-700 rpm, but when ac turned on- goes up to 1000 rpm and then drops to between 300 and 400 rpm and stays there(bounces in between a little.) when i turned on the heater it rose to 1000 and bounced between there and 1200 rpm. this crap is wierd. HELP?

the AC pump is parasitic. when you turn it on your idle will increase in effort to compensate for the power loss. after a short period of time the idle should drop back down to 600-800rpm's. however, if your vehicle idles exceptionally low without the AC on (i idle at about 525rpm's), you can expect it to drop the way yours is.
on super hot days my car will stall out a lot at traffic lights when the AC is on. i need to up the idle.

okay, but before this all happened, i used to idle between 600-800, and when the ac went on, it rose to 1100 and stayed there till the pump went off and dropped to 600

just remove your intake, unbolt the TB (it's 4 bolts), and disconnect the lines that lead too it (make sure the coolant lines dont leak everywhere). put the TB on your bench and use some carb/choke cleaner to remove any carbon build up. make sure it's clean and dry; put it back together. it's simple.

Fog the intake with seafoam out of spray bottle. Take the filter off start the car and start fogging. Never tried it myself but if I wanted to clean the MAS and throttlebody thats what I would do.
