Help Please! Short Ram Intake! Install!
alright ( i stole this pic from the forum, thanks to whose ever it is : ) but here is my problem
the guy who isntalled my short ram intake said i didnt need this black box back hooked up again. I am not sure what the black box is call or anything like that, but i circled it in the picture that is attatched to this post.
SO basically i was wondering, does this need to be hooked up for the car to work right, and if so... is it messing up my car royally by not having it in right now, and secondly what is this thing called?
please help me ASAP i dont wanna drive ne more on it if i need it
thanks
(PS) the box is circled in red, real easy to see, cant miss

HOLY @%( THAT'S THE MAS SENSOR!!! Get that thing on RIGHT AWAY!!!! This is the lil sensor that tells the engine how much air is coming in so it can mix in a corresponding amount of fuel... without it, ur gonna ROYALLY **** your engine. I wouldnt even drive it, get it towed to the guy who installed it and make him fix it! If there is any engine damage, make the guy who installed ur air filter pay for it... that sux for u

Get an impact wrench to get the remaining screws off of the stock airbox. If not, you run the risk of tearing the plastic up. I think you can also use some needlenose pliers to hold the other end of the bolt down while you wrench away at it.
But yeah, go punch your installer in the face.
"Oh that thing? Nah, just leave it hanging there."
God, I'm glad he didn't suggest cutting the wires so you could just remove it completely from the engine bay. Dumbass.

this really sucks, ive been working for almost an hour on these damn screws, can i just break this thing off or is there anther way. the plastic thing broke that would have made it easy to hold that flat end to get off, but now since thats broke i ahve no idea what to do

I had to use a pair of channel lock pliers and had a friend hold the inside flat bolt while I used a rachet to remove the nuts. They will come off, but it is easiler to have a second person hold it for you.
