look in the other forums about installation information as the AEM instructions are wrong; you only have to remove 2 bolts under the wheel or something not the entire plastic wheel well cover..
(in which we did, then found the instructions, and then it was too late). this will save you 30+ minutes. plus one of the aem install pictures is totally wrong and you cant tell where the picture is taken from. =)

dude, the funny bolts that hold the mas to the sab just broke on mine. 2 of them. they are only supported by plastic on the sides, and off course, metal is a bit stronger than plastic. just be careful taking off the mas.

I have read numerous posts on this subject and have done the searches for this information. I am an extreme noob when it comes to mechanical work on automobiles (changed a tire once) so please before you flame me think back to when you started. I just got the AEM CAI yesterday and read the instructions provided with the unit. They suck big time. The pictures are hard to make out and the way the instructions are divided I believe they left something out. Thank you very much to Sten for an excellent tutorial on the installation. Actually Sten’s tutorial played a large part in my buying the CAI. That and RRM’s sale. My question is what do I do with the small hose? I don’t see it in the instructions or on Sten’s post/site.
btw: I spoke with tech support at AEM about their instructions and while I had the guy on the phone asked about the V2 for the Lancer. I was told that it is not even on the list for the Lancer due to the pipe width.
