Question Throttle/Gas Pedal Response

Ok, well recently i've noticed a small problem that goes on and off.

Sometimes when i press the gas it will be harder to press. And i will have to really mash my foot down to get any serious response. It goes on and off. like right now the gas pedal is nice a smooth and the throttle response is normal.
but the other day the pedal was stiff and the throttle was slow to respond.

Would this be anything to do with the fact i need to change my timing, ac & altenator belts? Cos thats the only problem i'm aware of.

any ideas?

Who said hot naked girls?

I bet it's your ECU. You confuse me a little with the stiffness of your pedal because that should always be the same unless there is a problem with the throttle body wire.
When you drive like a granny your ECU gets used to it, and it will treat you like a granny.

If you could be more descriptive about what is happening I bet we could help you out more.

look under the dash near your gas pedal. Your vent as most likely come loose and is leaning against the gas pedal making it hard to push in.

i just have an intake, as far as mods go.

with the pedal, it goes on and off, some days it will be fine some days not. It just becomes hard to push in sometimes.

The car drives aggressivly normaly cos i set the ECU that way by driving hard after i reset it.

also how loose is the throttle wire supposed to be, anyone got any pics?

Did you even look where I told you?

It's the vent that warms/chills your feet. It should go into the center consol but gets loose every once in a while and leans against the gas pedal.

The cable should be pretty stiff but there needs to be alittle slack. If your cable was messed up you would see it right away under the hood.

i will check under the dash.
my throttle cable has quite a bit of slack on it though, i may tighten it up a bit, can someone upload a pic of their throttle cable so i have an idea of how tight it should be?

ok i checked under the dash, there is nothing in contact with the pedal. I also double checked my throttle cable. It has a little slack but not as much as a thought

It's really hard to tell, try to distinguish any other reasons why your pedal would be like that. What are other conditions for example outside, or maybe something you did before?

i cleaned my throttle body with the spray cleaner stuff, but it did it a while before that too.

Im thinking it may have something to do with the fact both my AC & Altenator belts need changing, they slip and squeal pretty bad.
What about transmission fluid also? im at 68k and i dont think the transmission fluid has been changed in a while.
