lancer 08 alignment issue!! (please help)
Hey Guys, I've had my lancer GTS for about 3 weeks now and my only complaint is that when I go at or faster than 60mph, the car shakes a bit and pulls a lot to the left. I took it to the dealer a couple of time.
the first time they told me the had fixed it. but the problem continued.
I then took it to another dealer but they told me that they need a software update
to get the numbers so they can check the car.
then the gy called me and told me that mitsubishi has not release those number yet, and that they should get them by mid june. but that he was gonna research the numbers himself to see if he can fix the car before june...
no my Question is..... Does anybody here know how, where to get this info? I understand the car is brand new.. but it is very annoying the way it shakes... it's not a lot but I can notice it.....
Please help!

I get the same problem, with the pulling to the left, no shaking yet, but if it doesn't get fixed until June, you as well as anybody else who has this problem may want to have them put new tires on. Especially if you have a GTS w/ the 18's. They're not cheap...

Sucks for you guys, I hope this is not a serious issue and Mitsubishi will resolve it soon. Anyway, this is the exact reason why I never buy the very first generation/batch of cars from anybody, it's a new platform, all-new car, no car is 100% perfect in circumstances like these, cars are too complex of machines to get it all right at the first try. Anyway, so far the new Lancer seems to have problems with steering as mentioned in this thread as well as some start-up issues mentioned in other thread ( https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=266785 ). Hopefully none of it will be mechanically related and a software update will fix the issues.

That sucks!!! I have not been having issues like that and I drive mine hard. So far the problem list is:
Have I missed anything besides tint (thats more of an aftermarket thing)?
- Starting
- Alignment

Hi there... Very interesting! I've had my GTS for three weeks now... and never paid attention to it until today and you're all right- It's pulling to the left!
Guess I will take it up with the dealer and see what they have to say.
Keep us posted.

The shaking sounds like the wheels are not properly balanced. Most cars are set up to pull to the left a little to off-set road crown. It sounds like it is pulling too much. These problems are not that hard to fix. There probably isn't any software programs for alignment racks yet, so they probably can't fix the pull yet, but they should be able to balance the tires.

I have had this same exact problem with my GTS. Took it to the dealer and had them run a full alignment diagnosis and it was in fact out of alignment. The tech assured me that the vehicle was tracking perfectly as he drove it back from the tire shop, but as soon as I drove it away I could tell the problem wasn't fixed.
I took it right back and had them cross rotate the front tires. This has alleviated the problem to a certain extent, but not 100%, and really not to a level that I am happy with. I can still feel a bit of a "rumble" or intermittent "tapping" on the floorboard as well.
Does anyone think that maybe this first GTS run got stuck with a bad lot of radials? I am really starting to think that the tires themselves are bad, but I want to gather evidence before I ask my dealer for new ones.

i have never noticed it probally because the stocks suck and i swapped them the
1st day. if you rotate the wheels and it fixes it even a little its prob the wheels and tires.
