Sub in upgraded sound system

No, because I know that you shouldn't crank it all the way up without a capacitor and a proper amp.
And you can put whatever wattage sub you want into the car, as long as you set the system up right. Make sure you get good amps, capacitors if needed, and if you go crazy, an extra battery.

The dealership said they would not cover it for excessive use. I am going to take it in and get it tested out. I have a feeling they are not going to cover it though thats why i was wondering if the 600w amp is powering all the speakers or just the sub? if it is all the speakers what size sub should i get?

I highly doubt the amp is powering the speakers. Usually you get two seperate amps, one for the subs, one for the speakers. They aren't loud enough and the quality isn't high enough for them to be amped out.
And you should probably stick with another 10.

I was going to stick with another 10" but i was wondering how many wattage i should stick with? if the amp is a 600w amp should i put in a 500w sub?? the one i took out said 75w/75w on the back of it where the magnet is. I don't mind spending a little money inorder to get a better sub as long as this new one won't blow out as easy as the last one.

Well, first off the TOTAL sound system is 600W, not just the sub. The other problem you are going to run into, is that the stock sub is a 150W DVC. I'm not sure is it is wired paralled or series, but each coil is 1.1 ohms. So IMO I would order another 10 inch 2 ohm DVC, and see how that goes.
