my lancer is HOT and i mean over heating

Now we'd need to know if it overheats while driving, at idle, or both.
If it's only at idle, then the fan may not be turning on.
If it overheats while driving too, then the fan switch should be out of the equation.

An addition--you may not find foam in the oil (antifreeze) or oil in the water--you can burn anitfreeze by blowing into the cylinder- you will also get air bubbles in the radiator...could get some pressure as well. Will get wht'ish smoke out the tail pipe..as for the over heating, My statement stands-- unless for some reason the configuration is cast block and Iron head...as for heat and expansion and contraction causing a head gasket to go...mixing alum head and cast block and you have exactly blaze125 was eluding too..expansion at diff rates causing you to lose a head gasket.. I just went thru this with my datsun--, been thru it a numbers of times with diff cars for diff reasons..This time the car only reached maybe 240* and thats all it took..Regardless...hope that isnt the problem, hope you got lucky, and all is well.. So whats the latest?
