i'm pretty sure my car pulls to the right at highway speed but still very little compared to other things i've driven. also what nunyas said roads are slopd to the right so that could have an affect.

i remember a friend having a similar problem with an older dodge and they said it had something to do with the camber.
Maybe I should have also stated the last alignment mitsu gave me has my steering wheel tilted to the right slightly at center position...aka I have to drive with the wheel slightly to the right to go straight? ...so ya...definately going to have that addressed tomorrow.

EDIT: I believe this may have been posted before but for extra measures i'll post it as well.

Having your alignment set so it's to the right of center is completely different from having your car pulling to the right...

How so? I didn't ask them to make that adjustment, that's how they "aligned" the vehicle. They say the wheel is centered when you can clearly see it is not lol. Also from the specs they printed out for me my camber is off by .1 (hence the pulling). None the less...had my meeting with the service manager today and from the previous sentence you can tell how it went. I printed out this thread as well as others to show proof of many owners having an alignment issue. He glanced over it and said "We don't get any complaints about alignments on the lancer" . But anways on to the test drive. The ******* managed to hit the curb when we were leaving the service center and made a slice in my toyo tire. Lucky for him he didn't damage the rim, or else he'd be getting the wheel repaired/replaced along with my new toyo that he ordered out of 's pocket

It's completely different because:

An improperly centered steering wheel allows the car to track properly still and will travel in straight lines without user input...

If the car is PULLING in ANY direction you have to FIGHT the car to keep it going straight...

Those are 2 COMPLETELY different problems...

(same post as with similar thread)-

has anyone considered taking this public to the media like Channel 7 on your side so that they can do a story on this issue?
sounds like mitsu is not willing to do anything else here or they just don't care, perhaps some media coverage would make them realize there is a real issue?

I have had my GTS aligned twice already. Was told there is "nothing we can do" to fix it. A few days ago I notice my front tires are balding on the outside edge. Last time I had it in was in February. I have about 12,000 miles on already since October. Is there a mileage limit where they can refuse to fix this? My dealer has a program, not sure if it is nationwide... but they gave me free adjustments for a year. I asked if this involves replacing parts that are worn because it was out of adjustment, and they said yes. I called and made an appointment for Monday. I really hope something good comes out of this, but I'm afraid they will refuse to replace the tires because of mileage. Any ideas?

BTW: printed the invoices for free tires... thanks alot man!!

I had gone in for yet another alignment (paid for by them this time). I had also gotten a rotation done. Well this made the car pull to the left even more. I brought it right back and made him test drive the damn thing. Surprised to say that he admitted that it pulled. Well after talking with him and coming back the next day to have the pull addressed and showing him some print outs from here, (Plus the fact that I'm in the tires for life program) he was going to just replace the 2 tires that I have low tread on. The girl at the parts counter was going to order some kumo tires and I just laughed at him and said your gonna give me 2 kumo's to go with the 2 crap dunlop tires I have on it now? He agreed to replace all 4 with kumo tires, once I got the 2 with good tread down to low tread. So needless to say I've been doing a bunch of peelouts and such low lower the tread as soon as possible.

On another note i'm getting ready to trade in my 08' for an 09' with sun/sound, and the traction control package. I'm looking at maybe a $2k difference from what I paid for my 08' And i've worked out a deal with my buddy (Sales guy) to get the kumo's put on it. Only problem is I have to wait till the 2nd edition of the 09' releases in Sept. They have the traction control package, chrome trim in the front like the EVO X and a new color (Rotor Glow). Can't wait

I really wish people experiencing this problem would get together and get this problem out there to some sort of media outlet. Mitsubishi is fully aware their is a problem but have not taken serious action towards solving this issue. They continue to dick their customers around with bull**** alignments and other exuses.

Ok, what is the bottom line in this thread? It jumps back and forth and after reading alot of it, it sounds like I'm SOL. My car has been out of alignment forever. The "new" tires the dealer put on it lasted about 9 months. What do I need to ask my mechanic to work on tomorrow to get this fixed?
