Angry Loud noise while AC is on

I had bought my car back in September. Come like a month ago I finally used my ac for like the second time. I had it running and the car and I went up to my house and I heard a LOUD noise. So I went back to the car and listened and when I shut the AC off the noise went away. I brought the car to the dealership and they said that the bearings in the compressor went bad. It was replaced (after 2 weeks) and I think it is still pretty loud just not as loud as before. I was wondering if anyone else has had or noticed the same problem. Thanks

Big issues with car a/c's is due to the type of system it is. It's a hermetic system which means the oil and refrigerent are mixed/together in the system. When operated the oil assists in keeping seal sealed and parts lubed. If you don't run the a/c at least a few minutes every month or so you tend to dry out the seals/bearing/parts as the oil drains down. Then when you do start it you start it dry for a few seconds. Not that your a/c should have went bad that fast as it shouldn't have but this is just something most don't know about and will help to keep your a/c alive longer!

I have the exact same noise. Mine isnt that loud though. One thing I do notice is that when I push in my clutch the noise goes away. Is this cause for concern? Maybe I should just take it in to the dealer anyway.

my car is making the same noise but when i use my ac, defroster, windows, headlights.. took it to mitsu, they told me it was my ac compressor, fan, extra loud injectors, and some emmission sensor dohickie.. I told them to listen to my driver wheel well while the ac is on and they told me " oh wow, thats what you're talking about." they ended up replacing my tranny giving me a brand new one and when i came to pick it up, it was driving smooth like when i just got it off the lot. about a week later the noise came back.. gr....
