Turn Signals
Has anyone tried to replace their stock amber blinkers w/ aftermarket ones? The nipples (locking mechanism) on the sides of the base of the bulb is not lined up like the bulbs on civics, eclipses, integras, etc... Why would use proprietary bulbs, is that retarted or is it just me? If anyone has found bulbs that fit the housing, please respond.
Thanks

OWNER MANUAL
I have been to many local shops and they have never seen a bulb with that configuration. I will however check my manual and see what it says. Has anyone else tried replacing their bulbs??

They're as they say on the bulb and in the manual - PY21W - they've common in many european cars, and one place I found them was at autolamps-online
They have Philips Silver Vision - silver when off, amber when on. Note, both front and rear signals are the same bulb...they're $24/pair shipped.

You guys do know the "Old trick" right?
Rather than spending $24 for a package of silver/amber bulbs when you can spend $2.50 for a bottle of Testors Model paint, in a nice silver, and put a thin coat on all of the amber bulbs. They look silver with the lights off, but still light up amber!
It's AMAZING!

In the owner manual it tells u. Just use a small screw driver with a cloth around it so it doesnt scratch the paint and pry it off on the corner. There is a little notch so u can do it. wow i love bouncy blob

want super white bulbs all around? yes you can of course. as for the blinkers, yes the oem ones have an odd connection. no you don't have to shave off one nipple. just push the bulb in the socket until one nipple locks in. it'll be a snug fit. i have super whites on my lancer and never had a problem since. visit my site if you want the full super white setup. watch out for those immitations though. they'll fade out eventually. mine are made in japan and wont melt your lens. hope this helps man.
