Fog light is not working, any suggestions?
Hey all! I'm new to this board, I posted on some other ones but they are a bit dead, so I decided to try my luck here
Anyways here is my problem.
Few weeks ago drivers side fog light quit working, so I decided to change the bulb when i took the bulb out it looked perfectly fine, I swaped the bulb from the working foglight but still no luck. Connection looks fine, nothing melted, I checked all fuses and thehy are all fine.
Along side with this problem that small corner light on the drivers side headlight wount come on sometimes, but usually it's working.
but fog light is permanently dead.
I would take it to a dealer but I dont know if they will refuse to fix it since I have HIDs installed with disabled drls, which might not even be a cause for a problem since I had that setup for about 6 month, or i will just wait untill spring when i will be installing HID kit in foglights if there is no quick solution for this problem.
Thanx for any help in advance

Get a voltmeter and check if there's any current passing on the wires and backtrack the problem to it's source. Did you hook your DRL's to your fog lights? If so, then the dealer won't fix it under warranty.

I didnt do it myself, what the shop did, they just disabled drls so they are never on, and looks like there is no drl relay anymore. So i doubt drl connected to fog lights.
I think what they did is a straight battery hook up, and another wire runs to the relay box so the lights are constantly on when the ignition is on.

^^^ Yeah i guess thats what i will end up doing, but as far as i know dealer cant refuse to repair the problem but only if they can prove that modification caused it.
