Question problem with my shifter

I recently purchase a 03 lancer oz rally,
before I got this car I did'nt know how to drive stick, so I had to learn on this one. The problem know is that my shifter makes this craking noise every time I shift and when I shift in to 3rd gerar I always feel a lot of metal to metal friction.
I'm i not using the clutch properly or is my transmition ruin already.

You're probably not fully depressing the clutch. Either that or you managed to completely ***** your gears while learning to drive.

Actually it might be your throw out bearing. Take it to the dealership.

Depressing the clutch is just pushing down on the clutch pedal.

I'm going to merge this with your other thread. I'm assuming you clicked new thread instead of new reply. Please be careful with that.

Clutch plate wouldn't grind, and it'd be slipping like crazy. I'm betting on TO bearing.

I had the same problem with my car learning how to drive stick except my transmission makes that sound when I shift it to second gear. Can it be the transmission?
