New exhaust on 2003 OZ
I just got a 2003 OZ Rally and would like to but a better exhaust on it. I am looking for something a little deeper/ louder than stock but not ricey or too loud, I'm not trying to set off car alarms with it..... I would like to do headers as mine are all rusted out anyway and possibly a catback. Can anyone tell me from experience what will not only give me slight performance gains, but also sound good (not loud or ricey).
Some products I have been looking into are the n1 catback from ebay, and obx headers. I'm not sure how either one of these sound though.

I would pick up a Magnaflow straight-thru 2.25" muffler and take it to an exhaust shop and have them make you a 2.25" stainless catback exhaust. It will give you the most performance gains and sound almost stock.
Any other catback will increase the sound out of the muffler as the tips are 3.5" and larger.

It sounds like crap with the silencer on it, not to mention that it takes away the little bit of power that you would get from installing the exhaust. I think it has a great tone without the silencer, and it isn't too loud. You can always get a resonator.

also if you're looking for better sound, you can look into getting a Cold air intake, i love the sound of mine, when i hit higher RPMs.. Also look into getting a ported intake mani, very little power gains, but your engine will sound a lil deeper.. I got a ported 4g93 on here for a decent price.
Look up the intake mani post about the comparison of the ported mani's

I put a Greddy ti-c catback exhaust on my 2003 OZ and i love it. its really deep but i dunno what ur definition of too loud is. Ive only set off 3 car alarms with it and 2 of them being in a parking garage. if i remember right its 3" all the way through. i dunno, i hope this helps with ur decision. Just my 2 cents i guess. I remember on youtube theres a vid of a guy and his white OZ with my exhaust revin a bit so you can kinda figure what it sounds like.
