Low profile rims/tires and wheels bending..

Well,2 years ago i bought my roomie's rims from his integra, nice rims, but now i am thinking i should've stayed with the stock rims and tires. I live in tulsa,BAD roads. In late october I hit a mega pothole at night, and bent my wheel and ruined my tire. Got it fixed at wheel place for $200,including new tire. Tonight,im driving down a street, hit a huge crater pothole and once again, wheel bent, this time 2 places. 2 months later, seriously? I dont know what to do,i dont wanna go through this every couple of months, damn. Should I have just stuck with my stock rims and tires? How bad are low profile performance?

How low of a profile tire are you running? What kind of rim is it as well?

Well i'd consider getting the hell out of Tulsa, but that's just me. You can troll around the 'Private Lancer For Sale' threads there might be someone selling some stock wheels down there. That or you could always just go down to DTC or NTB and pick up a set of 15"s for a decent price. 15" tires are a lot cheaper too.
