HID Bulb Plug Help

Hey Guys,

a total noob at HID's, so please bare with me. I purchased a pre-owned Lancer about a year ago, which had HID's installed. One of the bulbs has burned out, so I've replaced it with a 9006 6000k bulb, but the new bulb had an extra plug that the previous version didn't.

Can I use this new bulb? Or will it blow or not work without this other plug being plugged into something?

The Plug I'm referring to is the larger one on the top left, with the yellow rubber. Just wanted to confirm what it did, and if it would work if I didn't plug it into anything.

Thanks!

That bulb is not needed is all you are doing is changing out the bulbs , that wire is for the ballasts to factory harness so you could cut cut it off .

Sweet!

Thanks for the quick response, glad to hear that it won't effect anything. Cheers!
