Question o2 Sensor

I have a 2005 OZ. When I bought the car the previous owner had already installed an AFR gauge and hooked it up to the stock o2 sensor. Check engine light was also on and was told it was the o2 sensor and they replaced. That didnt fix the check engine light. Since then the o2 sensor has been replaced about 5 times. Ecu has been replaced with a brend new one and the cat has been replaced. Check engine light is still on and it still says it is the same o2 sensor. Could the AFR gauge be causing it? When the dealer hooked it up to the computer the brand new o2 sensor just shows a flat line doesnt fluctuate like it should and they suggested it might be the AFR gauge.

yes it could be , one thing you can do is test continuity with your voltmeter , hook up to the signal wire on the o2 sensor side and hook up to the 02 wire on the ecu wire and see if you get a connection...

does the narrowband o2 gauge give you a light show , if it does chances are the guy cut the wire entirely and ran it to the gauge only an the ecu is not getting the signal at all.
