air fuel ratio correction?
went to dealerships and i have a cracked or broken air/fuel canister and basically it has to do with emissions control and its settin of my CEL light... with that going... not sure if its making my car run lean/rich. My muffler guy said my car is running lean because he looked at my exhaust color on the end and he said its lean... he also said it coudl be cause im runin with after market headers and no cats and bigger piping and an CAI so i need more fuel mixture... was wondering if i could get a s-afc orsomething and overcome the rich/lean fuel...
basic question is... can i get a s-afc from apexi and fix the problem???

S-afc doesn't do that well at richening the mixture. I don't know how the guy claims he can tell you that you are lean... lean exhaust is color less and simply too hot. Rich exhaust can be grey/black from the carbon.. but that's about it. And your header etc will NOT modify your AFR at all. So the guy is definitely full of sheeeit.
If you want to use SAFC, you'll end up needing to throw the car into a true limp mode to get it to be an effective tuning device. You can do this by cutting the temp sensor wire on the MAF or by unplugging your O2 sensor (but you'll need that for the SAFC so you know what you are at as far as AFR.

is it your evap canister? if it is, do you have header heat wrap? it could be wrapped wrong or something and causing high underhood temps. check the link.

hey guys thanks for the input.. and rhzyin its not the wrap... what it was is i thikn when i had my accident in the hills =(... well i guess i also cracked the "Air/Fuel Canister" is what the dealership tech guy told me ... and he said it deals with emissions so i urno... well i guess i wont be gettin an afc.. but im pretty sure my car is running either lean or rich cause well im gettin pretty ****ty mileage.. unless everyone else is gettin about 200-220 mph per full tank average... im runin kamikazee headers, AEM cai, Test Pipe and a powerflow straight thru exhaust with 2 1/4 piping
