Burning oil

2008 lancer 2.0l 185k
Hey this car has ran synthetic since day one got 185k changed reg it's never had a tune up ran great

But now out of no where it burning oil I had to add almost 2 litres but it is due for an oil change

It does not leak a drop

If anything it doesn't accelerate or have full power like day 1 kinda sluggish just barely

I don't know if I should sell it trade it or this is gonna be a big problem

I've read maybe the valve seals or rings what are the costs and where should I go I live in Vancouver

I need to change plugs and wires as well

Have you taken out your spark plugs to check if there's oil on them?

Nvm. I'd say just take it to a shop to have the car looked at for a tuneup. If its at 185k and hasn't had its general maintenance I would probably say there's a few things that need to be taken care of like spark plugs or wires among other things.

Like posted above... If you're not sure, take it to a mechanic. Better safe than sorry.

Possibly a broken ring. You don't need a tune-up, you need a compression test.
