2009 A/C Blower Motor
Wassup everyone! I need some help with my car.
Recently my blower motor completely stopped working, no matter what speed you put it at it does not turn on. I do hear my AC turn on when the button is pushed but still no air comes out of my vents.
So, I decided to get a diagnostic. After spending $100 on a diagnostic the shop basically tells me the blower motor is out because it is getting too much amperage, which caused it to stop working.
Now they want replace it, they said the part cost $245 plus another $60 for labor. Then they say that further testing will be needed once they install the new blower motor to make sure it's not my AC system or anything else.
Now my question is how hard is this to replace myself?
I only found this one. Is there any other places or websites to find a cheaper one?

Thank you in advance!

You could do that yourself I think. I don't know of any places and the price points, you will have to call around.
Just to be sure it is the motor and not the resistor pack. Take two wires one to 12v battery and the other to any ground wire or chassis ground. Hook the wires to the blower motor and see if it runs. if it doesn't run, then it is the blower. If it does, then it is something else.
