WHP of S4,M3,C55,CTS-V,S60R

I would like to know what the whp of these cars are. Seeing what they are rated at and what they actually put down.

Lets just say the evo is good for about 230awhp stock, rated at 271hp '03.
If anyone wants to chime in, go ahead and list some other cars also. Maybe the C6, and the 6.0 GTO, E55, ect.

It might be nice to have a list of what these cars are puttting to the ground. Just to see what they are rated at ( over or under ). And what drivetrain loss they have.

Have fun!!

E46 M3s put down about 270rwhp and 230-240 ish wheel torque with a claimed 333 flywheel hp. E36s claim 260 hp crank and put down 195-205rwhp depending on year and about the same amount of torque (1995 has about 3-5rwhp less than 96-99s).

Well, if you need me to help you a bit more, I think an E55 puts down about 500rwtq and 450-ish whp. I think the easiest way for you to find this out is to go on the cars' respective forums and look for dyno charts.

Volvo S60R... Car is rated @ 300 HP I am guessing about 279 WHP. I use to sell Volvo, and those cars are not something you can push over. With my S60 T5 I can easily walk STI like there is no tomorrow. The S60R is bout 1 sec faster then the S60 T5. Very fast mid range cars. Keep in mind S60R is got a I5 2.5 High Pressure Turbo. CRAZY !!!!! and the car is about 3,300 pounds.....

Yes, the S60R is highly underrated. I wouldn't attest to the AWD system because it is kind of a hybrid FWD/AWD computer controlled system. But yea, the S60R is hella quick. Why do they use the I5, though?

INLINE 5 Cylinder 2.5L High Pressure Turbo and the fraking suspension is alot better then STI and weaker when compared to EVO. I went to S60R Drive and they had 4 guys from Nascar out that day taking us through cones. All I can say is Damnnnnn!!!!!!! They were taking turns with those cars at about 40-60 Mph and the car did not slip at all. They also let us drive and I really could not believe the gripp. S60R was slowed down by Volvo because of the older buyiers. They don't like to see young kids owing these cars they think that it will bring down the name. Volvo now is coming out with the altimate car. S60RS, it will be stripped out. Around 3,000 lbs, not so fancy inside and the maniacs are thinking or bringing it out with about 450 HP. The car will easily hit high 3s 0-60 and high 11s. Not only that but also Reliability to the highest and you will be able to go through a 20 foot brick wall. Keep an eye out for those..

Volvo uses an inline 5 because when they came out with the 850 (the first fwd volvo) with a transverse engine, they couldn't get the crash performance they wanted with a wider engine like a V6. An inline 6 proved to be too long for the transverse mount, hence the I-5. My dad bought an S60R. The struts are electronically controlled and made by ohlins. They adjust in unison with the awd system to provide max handling when you want it. It's a sweet car. The wagon model is the ultimate sleeper. If you're interested in a Volvo, PM me and I can get you an x-plan discount.

They already scare away young buyers with the 40k+ price tag. I mean, "you can get an Evo for less and just mod it."

If volvo comes out with the S60RS or what ever they are going to call it. I will buy it over any other car in the world even over Evo. yes you heared me right Even Evo. That is the only car I will choose over EVO ever in my life.

You can buy a S60R for 37K out the door.

Well, it's not like the Evo is the end all car (some people seem to think that). There is a bunch of cars that can whup its ***, but those cars all cost more.

I don't see that anyone has mentioned it, but keep in mind that dyno #s will vary a lot... most of those cars are 2 (rear) wheel drive. In other words a 280hp Evo may dyno at 230, and a 280hp 350z may dyno at 250 or 260 or something...

The S60R starts at $37K, which is in MR territory, with significantly more standard equipment. The evo has the handling edge but consider the following standard features on the volvo:
-leather
-bixenon headlights
-semiactive ohlins suspension
-four pot brembos all around
-climate control
-front, side, and side curtain airbags
-4 year warranty with free maintenance

It's not a bad deal at all. Once the S40R comes out I think people will really start to notice volvo.
