Which one would you rather have and why? I would probobly take the Mach 1 over the Z because it is faster, the shaker hood scoop is really cool, a different look and unlike every other Mustang, Cobras included you don't see many Mach 1's around. What do you think?

 

I'd take the Z... I think it would be much nicer to drive, and I like the looks better. A nice lowered Z with 19 inch deep-dishes looks great. I've never driven either, though, this is purely subjective. Also, around here, there are tons of Mach 1s (saw 2 at the movies today) & Cobras and new mustangs and crap. It's kind of like rednecks with money

 

Z without a doubt, what a beautiful sounding engine

 

I'd go for the Mach 1 - they're faster stock, and have a great (and cheaper) aftermarket than the 350Z. Just MHO but the 350Z is a snoozer, it's just ain't all that for what you pay.

 

What year Mach 1?

Unless we are talking about the old school Mach 1's, I'd have to stick with the Z.

I still say G35. Nice motor in the Mach 1, but that's it. Much better handling with the Z car. Much nicer interior on the Z also. I guess it depends if you want to drag race or run in the twisties.

Mach 1 for me. Badass looking car, mean V8 sound, good engine, and the car has a lot of potential for not too much money.

The Z doesn't do anything for me really.

driven both, and the Z wins. the mach1 might be a little faster in a straight line stock, but its still a mustang... and besides, the Z is a nicer body, nicer exhaust sound, nicer interior, better handling, and an all around better ride.

whats so special about going in a straight line? i dont understand. my neon will run in the 12's no problem, but thats not a big deal for me. i much prefer to play in the twisties, or on teh autocross track. but thats just me
