Dunno lets compare:
Skyline R34 vspec
Base Price: $90,000
Horsepower: 277@6800
Torque: 293@4400
1/4 mile: 13.7@103.5mph
Lancer EVO
Base Price: $29,500
Horsepower: 271@6500
Torque: 273@3500
1/4 mile: 14.2@98mph
I think I'll go with the EVO... just my 2 cents though.

Let's compare a Skyline GTR R-34 to a Lancer Evo6
:-D
Personally, the Skyline GTR is too heavy, while the Evo6 is hella lightweight.
The Evo6 may get quicker off the line, but the Skyline GTR picks up so quick and eventually spanks the Evo. Then again, its a difficult choice for me.

evolz2 - that's a HORRIBLE comparison of these 2 cars. The R34 sold for about $45k in Japan. Motorex just doubles the price when they import them. The engine is notoriously underrated, and is thought to be more in the 310-330 hp range stock, though I've seen even higher. The RB26DETT is tunable to 750+ horsepower, something the 4g63 can't do without massive internal work. The R-34 has some of the most advanced systems under it - super HICAS 4 wheel steering, ATESSA awd (similar to AYC+ACD, actually), etc. Very cool car
Not dissing the Evo, but the GT-R 0wnZ it

Yeah the Skyline GTR has close to 320hp. The main problem with the Skyline GTR is that its heavy at 3400lbs and that the transmission isn't as bulletproof as I previously thought. In the Skyline GTR, 3rd gear is the weakest link in the transmission.

Read SCC's AWD shootout. Those Nissan trannies can hold their own (dumping only a few hundred from redline). The GT-R in any trim is much clumsier in the corners, but it's still good as a sports car. The R33 GT-R (to me) defines what a touring car is. I would kill all of you for one. ...Nothing personal. I happen to like a good amount of you.
...So yeah, I voted for an R33 GT-R despite their being the least favored of the last 3 gens of GT-R's.

Evo = more bang for the buck on intial purchase.
GTR = really really really badass, and worth every extra cent.
Where's the "I'd want a dollar" option? I would like a dollar.
