I am converting an RX7 to a V8 powered vehicle. The motor is all in and tranny and everything. I still need to re-wire the whole car and get rid of all the stock harnesses and do a little touch up work here and there but here are some pics of the progression. I will be adding more pictures as I get it cleaned up and finish up everything.

Once I get it all said and done, clean the wiring up and finish lightening it (Bumpers, Glass, seats, wheels, etc..) I plan on boosting it. My goal is to hit 2000lbs wet weight with me in it and power around 550-600 to the ground which should 9 second timeslips and wheelies

It should be pretty quick then..because this one old guy in town has a 91 RX-7 with a LS1 motor in it and he said that he ran 12 flat...

If I can get it down to 2000lbs wet with me it will be stupid fast I may also decide to use an all motor smallblock 454 that would push around 600-620 horses on 93 pump gas and would be beefy enough to easily handle the power all day long. 2000lbs with 610 horses would result in 156-158mph traps and high 8's if I could hook it up.

The car wieghed 2650 before anything. The V8 and transmission adds around 150. So stripping 750 lbs off the car wont be too tough

Wow.. This brings back memories.. I did a conversion like this in the early 90's.. the car got stolen but I ran 11's with a very mild engine.. This car is going to be very very fast..
