Anyone Farmiliar with VW Performance?
My girlfriend just picked up a 2004 Jetta GLI. The car is actually very cool. It comes from the factory lowered with a body kit, 18 inch BBS's, Recaro's, 6-speed, aluminum accents in the inside. It's very nice and easy to drive also. It comes standard with a 1.8t engine which is ok......
anyone have any experience with VW performance and any ideas what mods she could do to her car that will keep the car easy to drive and give it a little more ommph?
i was thinking an intake, exaust, BOV, and possibly a chip of some sort.....
any info from former or current VW fans would be appreciated.

i used to own a dub...
i would start off with a simple cold air intake(aem/injen..etc), forge 007 dv/bov, GHL turboback exhaust with highflow cat, then get a nice chip on her....i had GIAC...other good chips are APR, REVO...those mods will get her GLI into the 185-195whp. Let me know if you have anymore questions

I used to own this car actually. I was a 2004.5 GLi special edition. I would say the best chip for it would be the APR chip. Neuspeed sway bars to stiffen up the car but keep the BBS rims. Those are definitely lovely rims as it is and the car is great as it sits. Carbonio makes a nice cold air intake. Shortshifter for the 6 speed transmission. Forge 007 DV is pretty good. GHL is definitely a great exhaust.

defintly do the chip first, APR or GIAC. dont expect great things though. the turbo in that thing is uber small and not very exciting. it will make the car a little more exciting to drive though. real nice car though!
