The Eclipse has a 400hp HKS tuned 4G63T and is AWD.
They have a Rally Raider that uses a Mitsubishi 3.8L Mivec twin-turbo built to Paris-Dakar Rally specifications. Can't wait to see that one.
Plus they will officially launch Ralliart. Evo parts, of course, first, and other parts will trickle in.

woh, thats awesome.. I'd take that eclipse in a heartbeat.. =D But for trucks.. I'd like them more for off road, not sport. =/ Still, its awesome. I took home a raider the other day for a test drive, and I was pretty impressed, its a nice little truck. Solid.. But that eclipse, wow, it looks nice, and with the 4g63t awd.. wow.

I wonder, is the plastic shrouding on the engine bay of the Eclipse hiding some nasty looking fab work that it took to get the venerable 4G63 into that platform, or is it hiding production grade engine mounts and hardware? Yea I am opening a can of worms here, but I did read in Motortrend (or Consumers Report?) that a turbo Ralliart edition of the Eclipse was possible this year.
Either way that garnet red valve cover looks good in that engine bay. Not only that but I think we should be happy Mitsu is smart enough to spend money and play up their performance side. I believe that way of thinking will keep the company afloat.
