Ill go buy a Crate motor and put it in my Evo and run a 300 shot and run 8s. Will it still be an Evo. Like them Cavilers runnin 6s in the pro import drag circuit. Yeah, Caviler customers get a motor capable of that.

U can't deduce what my analogy is alluding to. Let me clear it up for you. So much extreme building of the motor has to be done to make the Sti capable of handling crazy WHP that the only part of the car that is an Sti is the exterior. To run crazy times, in the 9s, it has been proven that the evos are easier and more capable. U honestly think that there are not alot of guys out there trying to make fast STIs. I can name more wanna-be fast Sti nightmares than u want to know.
Kid at Cal Speedway comes to mind. Went to EZ street( turbo kit upgrade) to beat me in my stock turboed Evo. Did not happen and he sold it and bought Evo. Want another one. Guy in Vegas runs me in his 400 + whp Sti and he gets owned. When I offered him a rematch he reclined due to supposed clutch issue. BS. His car spun a bearing and it was audible. Next week on the Vegas forum he was asking about rebuilt motors. His car has been missing in action ever since.

both cars need extensive motor work to run 9s.
