if you wanna go fast, you're going to break parts and spend money. it's inevitable.
and btw, there's plenty of 500 whp usdm STIs running strong.

oh, and don't dodge my question. what constitutes "unlimited funds?"

is there even a single evo in the 8s that is stock chassis? the only evos in the 8s are speedtech which is half tubbed and razak's, which has no firewall and a turbo sitting next to you.

since you couldn't answer what constitutes "unlimited funds," then we'll have to go with the fastest/quickest cars.
you should also understand the context of the entire thread. we're talking about 9 sec cars here. if you wanna argue about 11sec cars, you're in the wrong thread.

well, ok then, show me an evo that runs 9s without a rebuilt motor.
i know markgSti. i don't even see how his rebuild is relevant to your point. his problems arose from tuning issues.
again, show me where you get these 500whp STIs not holding that power. you must have more than just markgsti as your case study.

yeah, and your analogy doesn't make sense because there are no subarus that run crate motors with 300hp shot of nitrous.
don't worry about what i run, i don't even have an sti. what i run has no bearing on your "unlimited funds" claim.

Kid at Cal Speedway comes to mind. Went to EZ street( turbo kit upgrade) to beat me in my stock turboed Evo. Did not happen and he sold it and bought Evo. Want another one. Guy in Vegas runs me in his 400 + whp Sti and he gets owned. When I offered him a rematch he reclined due to supposed clutch issue. BS. His car spun a bearing and it was audible. Next week on the Vegas forum he was asking about rebuilt motors. His car has been missing in action ever since.
Can u handle the truth? Did u call that code red? No u can't; keep livin ur life in Suby denial.

To run crazy times, in the 9s, it has been proven that the evos are easier and more capable. U honestly think that there are not alot of guys out there trying to make fast STIs. I can name more wanna-be fast Sti nightmares than u want to know.

and you failed to see where your analogy didn't make sense. you allude that "extreme" building of the motor has to be done to a subaru to run in the 9s, well, how many evos do you know run in the 9s with a stock block?
both cars need extensive motor work to run 9s.
and laugh all you want about your delusional anecdotal experience, i've heard of more evos grenading their trannies than of 500whp stis blowing up.
subarus already have 9 sec STis with a stock 6 speed, can you say the same for the evos?
the weirdest part about your retarded "the only part of the car that is an Sti is the exterior" statement is that even the fastest/quickest evos don't have an evo shell.
