Straight copy and pasted from Dodge's website buddo. The turbocharger is a TD04 to be exact, the same EXACT one on my SRT, coincidence huh.

2.4-liter DOHC dual VVT inline turbocharged 16-valve 4-cylinder engine

Oh, and the Next evo will have the same 4g63 with a bump in power. I'll pull that one up also.

Copy and pasted again from thecarconnection.com

With over 300 horsepower, the Evo X will be powered by a four-cylinder turbocharged MIVEC 2.0-liter engine, mated to a six-speed clutchless transmission.

Torque! ! !

Remember that the TORQUE is what makes the wheels spin fast and that thing is a little low!

I don't really like it, but it's not as bad as some say. I hope it doesn't go up in price though, because if it does, I have a feeling sales will be slow (at least in the beginning).

Every time a car with 270-300 hp comes out it will shown here as a evo competitor..no matter if its a SUV or a family sedan.

Sure if you wanna go only straight there will be a competition, but in the twistsy roads evo will be always ahead against SUVs and family cars.

there is no way this car will compare to the evo. the evo may weigh more but its 0-60 is a lot faster. the caliber's 0-60 is rated at around 6 seconds and i doubt it will catch up

No they won't. Just because they are using a TD04 turbo that doesn't mean it is going to be the same engine. Plus TD04 describes a whole family of turbos, it won't necessarily be the EXACT same one on the old SRT-4.

They just say 2.0L MIVEC, the new engine has the same basic specifications, but it is totally new.

I never said it was a 4GXX. I have no idea what the World Engine nomenclature will be.

They actually HAVE pics of the engine bay, so if you want to keep arguing it's a different engine than the one I OWN than please do so.
I don't care what you own or what pics you have seen. Could be a preproduction model, it could just look very similar. Maybe they are using the same intake manifold and the same valve cover, so what? This blurb from Automotive News contradicts what you say. I'll believe otherwise when I can actually look at a production vehicle:

"Chrysler group engineers wring 300 hp from the Caliber SRT4's 2.4-liter engine with the aid of a turbocharger and an intercooler. The engine comes from the World Engine family, a joint effort among the Chrysler group, Hyundai Motor Co. and Mitsubishi Motors Corp."

PT Cruiser platform was the same as the Neon IIRC.
