How do you feel about the 350z?
I was looking for your thoughts on the 350z, a friend was looking to get a 2003 or 2004, it seems as if it's very easy to find them with under 30k for about $20,000, they look nice but I am iffy about Nissans quality. I would'nt think they would be very fast with basic mods such as exhaust, intake, seems the only ones that get respect are the forced induction Z's

I just sold my yellow '05 Z for $24k.....it was practically showroom condition too. Never had a single problem with it.....just too small for my big a$$. Amazing car......I loved every single thing about it. With an exhaust and intake it's just awesome. I'd buy one again in a heartbeat if I was in the market for a sports car......nothing I'd rather have under $50k......nothing.

350 does not respond to mods very well. You can ask anyone and read any magazine. Forced induction is the way to go. You live in Portland, not sure if it's a great daily driver for your location. Best of luck to your friend.

Nice coupe, but I see them everywhere. I would rather have a not so common car, hmmm... like the evo.
Also, adding performance, real performance a la forced induction is very very expensive. Then you still have to deal with the above mention intolerance to high boost levels. $10k+ for boost on a $25k used car and low 13's, maybe high 12's?
Not for me. But if I had to drive a coupe, it would probably be a z or g35, as they have a bit of storage room, unlike the s2000 you mentioned before.
On a road course however, I have watched a very talented driver take a suspension tricked out 350z around, and he/it was out driving most other cars on the track, and this was during an instructor only session. Car was just flying on rails. Car was from Virginia, tag was" 2ZTRACK" Cool.

Firat I love my 350Z. Traded in my 03 Evo for one and don't regret it at all. Its a blast to drive!!!
I have to disagree with this comment. It is much harder to get hp out of a N/A car vs. a boosted car. While my numbers don't compare to an Evo I still manage to gain 17 whp and 10whp with basic bolt-ons. I will agree if you are looking to be the dyno king with a 350Z F/I & building the engine is the only way to go. Tell your frind to hit up My350Z.com for more info.
