I like the look of the Charger and 300C SRT-8, especially in black. They are a pretty sweet ride.

My uncle had a Charger SRT-8 and a Magnum SRT-8. I only got to see the Magnum but, it hauls a*s. It was reasonably hard to keep with in the Evo going down the on ramp. It was also unbelievably easy to speed in. I'm talking like loose your license speed in. It just didn't seem like you were going that fast.

car and driver tested one and ran 13.2 with it, road and track states the same times. 0-60 4.7- 4.8 13.2. i can see it going a little quicker than the magazine tests but over 1/2 a second in the qtr. mile? i,m not ragging the car i happen to like it a lot but its just kinda hard to believe it runs that fast in the 1/4 mile, and if it does more power(no pun intended) to chrysler.

i dont hate. i said i like the car a lot,i,m not a domestic car hater just because i drive an evo, theres a lot of hot domestic cars out there and the srt is one of them, i just didnt think they would go 12.5 in the qtr. from everything i,ve read about them and all the testing that the magazines have done on them. as much as i love my evo i,ll take an 06 ZO6. like i said i,m not a hater because its not an evo, i dont put down anyones car.

Hey, has anyone seen I think it was last month's issue of SPEED? they did a SRT8 Charger vs Evo 9 MR Challenge. The Charger ran a 12.5 1/4 mile which blew my mind. But the Evo was putting out lap times at ( what I remember to be) Laguna Seca about 1 second faster. It was a good article.

this is a QUOTE from the june 2005 issue of car and driver.it isnt light at 4212 pounds, but at just below 10 pounds per horse power the srt8(300c) will bust through 60 mph in 4.7 seconds on its way to a 13.2 quarter mile at 109 mph.second quote from speed magazine(dec.2005)we all know the new charger SRT8 has power, thanks to a bored out 6.1 litre hemi V8 that pumpes out 425 bhp and 420 lb. ft. of torque. this results in a 0-60 dash of about 5.0 seconds and a qtr. mile run of about 14 sec.

They are nice cars but these are ones I would lease not buy. My buddy has a 300C that is two years old. It lives at the dealership. I have heard they are not the most reliable cars. I know this is one example but he looked on some forums and he was telling me that a lot of people are complaining about the cars after 30K or so. I know there will be people who swear buy them and they think they are the best car ever. This is just personal experience talking.

I hate to bring in some negativity, but that video is kind of old now, and I think this may be a repost, I know of no other SRT-8s so far to come close to matching that time.

I raced an 300c srt8 that was insistant on racing me... it was a completely deserted stop light in the middle of a millitary base.. he just spun his wheels and I blasted out 6 car lengths in front. The styling is great though. I have thought about trading.. plus its build on a mercedes suspension.. so yes it can handle.

Just did some more digging on those 2, low mid 13's do seem to be the norm but there are a few owners showing 12 second slips "supposedly" stock. Every car model has a few factory freaks, seems within the realm of possibility, but you'd have to have gotten a "good one" IMO.
