What's pathetic is the AWD on the IS250. I drove one at a Lexus event and came into the first turn too fast. When I turned the wheel to steer into the turn the car plowed about 5 cones deep the traction control was chime chime chimin' at me it was funny.

I thought I was in the EVO that's all.

The power isn't that bad, and the car is safer than the EVO.

Good luck...I heard Lexus dealers take good care of their customers especially when compared to Mitsubishi stealerships.

Because Lexus Thailand are complete d1cks, we're only getting the IS250. And they suck golf ***** through garden hoses.

I really like lexus's but sadly if i want an is350, I have to import in form Japan and everything on the dash will be in Japanese including the satnav. Plus the 110mph speed limiter.

Apparently these new Lexuses have really trick limiters and HKS actually has a new computer - virtually a piggyback in complication - to override it.

Anyway, nice car dude.

A couple of years ago, I borrowed an LX lexus from my aunt and drove with a couple of friends along that highway in California that goes along the coast (101? 1? sorry can't remenber) and while having a bit of fun, I got the tracion control going. Now sliding the LX around a corner with an ocean to one side (on three wheels, in fact) is quite a thing, but the most frightening is that bloody chiming noise cos none of us knew what the hell it was and it just kept going. The car just bogged down a _lot_ and from how it felt made it more likely for us to end up in the ocean that without. A rather poor system indeed...

The LX. The Landcruiser one.... not the quickest things on the road.
Incidentally she has the LS also, I can't imagine why she wouldn't let us borrow it

Oh okay, you just had me confused when you said...

The LX/Land Crusher is an old design, and being that it is a old school SUV I'm not suprised the TC system didn't lend itself well to spirited driving. It was probably just the stability assist fighting to keep it from tipping over.

It is NOT a true DSG tranny. It's a push the upshift button 2...3... gear change take place.

DSG is the sheit and Lexus' don't have it.
