Finally replaced my Evo

I still do miss my evo at times. However, it was time for a new project.

I purchased a 2006 Lexus IS 350. Bought it fully loaded with Navigation, Mark Levinson, backup camera, ventilated seats, power sunshade, lighted doorsills, luxury package.

306 RWD HP and 277 lb torque. 0 - 60 in 5.3 seconds.

I'm sure I'll evolve back once this project is over. Let the modding begin.

Here's where my evo stood before I sold it last year.

Why did you go with the Toyota? Nice and heavy, huh.

Congratulations on the new car. I guess having creature comforts will need some getting used to.

Very nice car; I only wish it came with a manual tranny. I looked at the IS250, which does, but I wanted more power. Still, those cars rock.

I personally really like the styling on the new IS350. Good looking car. I like it best in white. and wish it came with a manual tranny.

Somehow, I don't think the tuners will be all over this new car like they were for the old IS, which at least had the 2JZ. I think I'd just rock it VIP style with some 19's, a drop and maybe a kit and leave it be.

sorry, meant to type RWD HP.

FWIW, those that dyno'd usually come up around 250 - 260 RWHP.

Ha, I was thinking the same thing. Its 306 at the crank, more like 240-250rwhp on a mustang dyno from what I have read elsewhere.

Nope. I have both, so I have the best of both worlds. I don't really like the Lex though.

Anyway, congrats on your purchase. I never could've traded my Evo for the Lexus.
