the small turbo on the 1.8t and even the new 2.0T didn't need anytime to spool up, it felt like a strong v6 rather than a turbo 4 banger. it's power is linear and direct, unlike the wrx.

Even the old 99` Impreza GT Turbo is faster then the GTI mk 5.. at Nuerburgring.
