Sweet, thanks for all the responses. I am familiar with the 2jz engine and its accessability of power being fairly easy, but for some time I was skeptical of the acceleration being too fast and possibly fake. But with your facts, I must reconsider. This Supra is one mean beast. BTW who is this guy in the vid?

Actually, there was a similar video (acceleration-wise with a Supra) on SRTforums. A guy with a very powerful 50trim SRT-4 raced a heavily modded Supra, and it absolutely blew him away (If I remember correctly, just like the supra in this video did).

i had a 446whp supra and from a roll the car was an absolute monster. The record horsepower on a stock bottom end is 980whp.

Speaking of that, I remember video of them raping corvettes, vipers, cobras and the likes on highway rolls, but what about some of texas and florida supras? I would love to see the AMS black evo from flordia go against some supra heavyweights.

not a chance with 1000hp heavyweights... maybe in the 500hp range, but even then, the supra has more displacement, making the hp earlier in the powerband so I wouldn't even know if ams stands a chance

did evom suddenly accept street racing??? just wondering.

yea i've seen these 2 videos for about, um, 500 times already (seriously). everytime the Supra rockets pass the camera car just makes me cuss my head off. i mean, it's just so unreal.

after i pay off my evo, i will get a supra tt. after i get bored with the TT set up, single turbo time

honestly a car like that supra will get the driver in a lot of trouble though

4g63 is the mother of all inline-4's, but the 2jz is the mother of 6 cylinders; it's a whole other level, and it is just plain stupid lol

Having both is nice the evo is a wicked handling street car, and can make nice power.

The supra makes incredible power but isn't as nimble and is more of a straightline car.

2 different types of cars.
