I remember your SN, check my avatar.. I used to go by "awd4dr" until I realized there were far more awd 4 doors today then 8 years ago and changed it.. There are a few others here as well as some current owners.. We are the "ORIGINAL" gangstas!!
MY impression of my EVO MR is that it is almost as fast as GVR4 was, but this car is RAZOR SHARP compared to the galant, it handles better without the harsh ride, and will do 11's with a couple pipes..

Ah cool, yeah I remember!
So $ and looks aside in the end which do you like better? I know this is really apples to oranges but I just want to see the people who have had or own both. I love the EVO but as you can see it's still spends the same amount of time on jack stands

Definitely like the EVO better, it is far more performance oriented, aerodynamic, ect. It's better in almost every way except cost..

I had a Galant ZR4, while I do like my Evo 7, I feel it is an upgrade, as much as may be expected in 15 years, in the chassis/mechanical departments, but it is in no way better in the interior. sure, the seats are much more "race" items, and nice ones at that, but the trim, and the creature comforts are no improvement on what the E39A's had.

I sold my 99 GSX to get the Evo then sold my '94 Integra daily to get a GVR4. Now I have two white AWD turbo sedans #396/1000 will be doing big things soon enough! The Galant can't hold a candle to the Evo in any aspect of the driving experience but I'm a 4g63 nut and love it enough for its rareness alone to own one. As much as that slow *** Honda was reliable and looked good I'm an AWD 4g63T powered guy for life (or until Mitsu comes out with a new better turbo'd powerplant!).
