We literlary threw this motor back together with a bunch of used parts that we had laying around the shop. hell the oil pump was assembled from good parts from 3 bad/old oil pumps lolol. I did not want to put any money into it because I am going to be putting a 3.7L in it as soon as Ross finished the pistons. I was hoping to maybe get 2 or 3 passes out of it, but I got 6 and the motor is still running fine!

Time ships

1st pass

big time bog

60ft 1.907
1/8 mile ET 7.331
1/8 mile MPH 108.54
1/4 mile ET 10.761
1/4 MPH 146.49

2nd pass

ok out of the hole but I think I short shifted 2nd and the car lagged a bit.

60ft 1.657
1/8 mile ET 6.800
1/8 mile mph 111.44 mph
1/4 mile ET 10.179
1/4 mile MPH 148.69

3rd pass

cant find the time slip right now, must be in the car still but it was

10.20@150mph I'll put in the details when I find the slip. (crappy 60ft)

pass # 4

everything about this pass was prity good. The car spun allot (you can see in the vid), other then that it went prity dang good.

60ft 1.603
1/8 mile ET 6.439
1/8 mile MPH 115.55
1/4 mile ET 9.736
1/4 mile MPH 151.39

pass #5

Missed 3rd bad (this tranny was a 5spd that had bin sitting in my storage unit for like the past 5 yrs, we took it out of a guys 93 it was his original 5spd, it had a crack in the housing and was leaking looked like something hit it, and was hard to get into 3rd, he bought a new tranny from Kormex and we put it in, and I bought this tranny from him with plans of fixing it, and never did till now. We fixed the crack with JB weld, put a welded center dif in it, and put in it my car. It does not even have a front LSD. The car really has got to be muscled into 3rd)

60ft 1.675
1/8 mile ET 6.930
1/8 mile mph 87.44
1/4 mile ET 13.234
1/4 mile MPH 63.02

pass # 5

car started sputtering realy bad at the top of 2nd and 3rd. plugs are going south. #9 heat range, thy dont last long under these power levels.

60ft 1.649
1/8 mile ET 6.551
1/8 mile MPH 113.14
1/4 mile ET 9.909
1/4 mile MPH 149.78

Pass #6

turned the boost down 2%, let the tires down to 23psi.. this is going to be the last pass track is closing. It's ok to brake the T-case now lol.

did not lounch high enuf, car bogged bad, then I missed 3rd again.

60ft 1.782
1/8 mile ET 7.308
1/8 mile MPH 83.52
1/4 mile ET 12.982
1/4 mile MPH 72.16

To say the least I am very happy!

next I'm going to put in new plugs, pull the tranny fix 3rd gear, and put in a front LSD (the one out of my 6spd I guess)

3rd gear, 5spd.

Quick Mod list

DR stage 3 heads
DR little bitty street cams
Cam gears
DBB DR-1000 turbos
ARC-2
720's
Twin pump
Really Old FMIC with a 2.75" thick tube & fin core (got to get something bigger in there)
ATR down pipe
Turbo Bob ECU
RPS carbon/carbon
suporting mods

everything that’s on this car cam be ordered off my web page, that even goes for the OEM short block.... (well ok I will not sell oil pumps assembled from 3 broken or bard pumps lolol)

PS for those that love to pick on piggy backs, and say cars cant be tuned with them and with out a wide band. Not only does this car have a piggy back, but the car or motor has NEVER had a wide band on it. Not even it the other car when I dynoed it, thy were missing something from there Wide band for the dyno so thy could not run it.

Like I always say, "those who say it cant be done, are usually interrupted by those that are doing it"

WOW, this is a surprise, I thought the fastest 3000gt was from Dynamic racing which recently ran a 10.5 1/4 sec.

The 3.7l is mostlikely a stroked version of the Mitsubishi Montero 3.5L , some 3000/Stealth are using this block now then as a replacement for the 3.0l.
