Goodbye Ralliart, Hello Legacy

Hi gang. Traded in the Ralliart today for an 06 Legacy. The Ralliart was an unbelievable car, and a bargain, but I have the car bug, and there's only one cure. I got a screaming deal on the Legacy too. They even gave me 13 grand for the Ralliart. I will have a practically new set of alloy wheels and snow tires in the For sale forum soon, they MIGHT have 1000 miles on them. I have to take some pictures this weekend. This is an excellent forum. I'm not much of a modder, but I enjoyed the repair and maintenance aspect of the discussion. Stay posted for the wheels and tires, and PM me if you want to know further before I list them for sale. Joe.

Heh, that subaru bug is biting, and its biting hard. Congrats on your purchase. The winter is much more fun when all 4 wheels are in play.

13 grand for an 04 ralliart? HMMM. That sounds like a little too much if you ask me.

I agree, it is alot for trade in value. But I wasn't about to refuse, and demand they give me less for it.

Yes i sold mine privately for 13000, so for a trade in you made out quite well.

Well i can see getting a little more if you sell it privately rather than trading it in. If thats what you did then good move man.

Thanks guys. Legacys are getting a two grand rebate plus 0% financing for two years. I did alot of research about trade in value, and with my mileage, I think the Ralliart was worth high 11's as a trade, so I'm satisfied. The Legacy seems like a very refined car, and I'm happy with the move. I'll get some pics up soon. Joe.

Which model Legacy did you get? The 175hp NA version, or the turbo 250hp version?

I got the 175 HP Special Edition version, feels roughly as fast as the Ralliart was. There is some weight and driveline losses obviously. As far as trading up, it's apples and oranges to a Lancer. For me, it was a good move, and a definite move up.
