Thumbs up Stock K20a2 motor out of RSX-S lays down 634whp

Trying to find a link but that is the talk on Honda boards these days.

Apparently a stock bottom end K20a2 with nothing but different camshafts put down 634whp and 428wtq on C16 with 32psi

This is really amazing...considering the stout Evo motor is yet to hit such a figure while being a closed deck, low compression, cast iron blocked motor.

Here's the quote:

Full Race Turbo manifold, Precision PT67 P trim dual ball bearing. Custom stoopidfast intercooler and piping. 1600cc injectors, 5 bar map sensor, KPro, IPS KT1 turbo cams, FJO injector driver Fast-Turbo fuel system with Bosch pump and Aeromotive regulator, Competition Clutch Twin Disk. This run was made at 32psi. all stock short block.
heres the graph.....

Great feat. The rsx is a nice car, I owned one previous to my MR. However, the stock engine won't last long at that psi.

most honda trannies hold power fine. alot of the fastest honda's run stock trannies with a better differential(the weak spot of the honda tranny)like a quaife. i previously owned a daily driven 528whp civic hatch with stock tranny(quaife diff)that took alot of street miles(close to 25,000)and numerous drag runs on 24.5" slicks. it's hard to believe that that much power can be made on a stock K-series block since it's open deck aluminum with cast pistons, i used to run a dart solid deck b-series block w/forged stroker kit.

Not surprise, the k20 is a beast with the right care and mods. The skunk2 rsx-s is an all motor 9sec car.

thing is with a rsx still front wheel drive 600hp the tires will break loose all the time.. as for 32 psi of boost.. yeah i have seen it here in az great car.. but that engine doesnt last for beans under high boost like that.. gotta k-series right now that is boosted and it is only at 10 psi. and i think that is pushing it for me.. but hey.. i still got 280hp in a 1200lb car

Last time I checked, the K20 in the RSX doesn't come with 1600 CC injectors or a turbo.

Impressive, regardless.
