the worlds fastest STI is called the ESX STI, they can run a 1/4 mile in 8.3 seconds, it comes from easy street motorsports in california, only about 40 of them have been made. they say the ESX ranges from 1100 to 1400 horsepower

lot of bad info in here, fastest subaru is in the high 7's (tony rigoli performance) rwd
the fastest evo is also in the high 7's(pretty damn sure it's awd though)

as for street cars, both the evo and STi will go nines at +-~140mph, with the STi coming along slower with more people in the nines
