got the wilwoods in. 4 piston front, 2rear. 11" vented and slotted. SS lines.;

Spent COUNTLESS hours sanding and polishing intake manifold. Fitting fuel rail also;

Greddy oil pan installed and sealed up. NOticed inside it had little flap doors...nice feature;

Parts adding up..need to get them on the car!

Will be going to paint just as soon as I figure out a color! Any input on TOP SECRET GOLD anyone??????????

Top Secret gold wouldn't be a bad idea. The color might actually suit the 510 well.

I have to give me vote for black. Almost every car I've owned has been black though, so I'm a little partial.

I just think no other color looks as mean when the car has the right stance and the windows tinted.

I actually am really interested in the project.. Especially how much trouble you have using the S13 crossmember and engine cradle.. I have a 210 Hatchback which is very similar and was considering doing an SR20 swap also instead of the V8 swap I started piecing together (I prefer the high revving 4 bangers) I gave some consideration to the 350z engine/tranny setup after seeing the Honeybee swap on Monster Garage...

I have to finish my Turbo Honda project and then I can finish the 210 so I'm watching this thread..

Malibujack-
Everything for the SR is BOLT IN. A company located in austraila called "DATSPORT" specializes in SR20,KA swaps into old school datsun "1600's"(what they call a 510) this kit consists of reversed engine x-member(to clear oil oan), steering linkage/arm,sway bar,ply bushings, tranny mount etc..everyhting needed to clear the SR motor. ONly thing you have to cut is the tranny tunnel cuz the sr tranny sits back a little further..but datsport also has a tranny cover with shift boot. I am no expert but would think a 210 uses the same crossmember? I was REALLY close to throwing a VQ35DE(350z motor) but cant find ANY resourses or info on how to do it(noone has done it excpet monstergarage). I have tried contacting the person who did the "HONEYBEE" swap...but cant get a hold of him. I opted for the sr becasue there is more info readily available if I run into problems.lol

Very cool.. From what I know, the 510, 210, B210, and 260z shared quite a bit, but I don't know what bits from what.. There's so little data on the orphaned 210.. But its a cool looking car, a bit like the AE86 in some ways appearance wise, and a bit like "mustang II hatchback" in others..

The car weighs about 2000 pounds, and if they make a 510 kit, I'll start with that and make the modifications necessary.. I do know the 510 and 210 share suspension components and can pretty easily use 280z brakes and whatnot, so Its a matter of trial and error at the moment..

Definitely stay in touch because I think the data we can share will benefit everyone.
