Only if ls1 wasnt as expensive as rotary engines? You can get LS motors for dirt compared to 13b's plus they never blow up, so you save lots of cash.

And it will blow like 99% of the rotary's do!! Steve is one of the best many of his motors have blown too showing the fragility of the rotary. Show me a rotary that can make 450whp for 50k miles like a heads/cam Ls1 can on good ole 93oct.

They have heads/cam ls1's that run 130+ in FD's on pump

I totally agree on it being the right swap for that application, but even jesus couldn't get a stock or even lightly modded ls6 to 400whp (excluding nitrous). Those h'c fd's must have very healthy cams and good heads to make that kind of power. I wonder how many lsfd guys have gone with 1 & 7/8 headers vs the 1 & 3/4 that hinson and other sell...

Show me any lsx thats under 100 cubes and makes that power.

sweet fd... I have always wanted to do an ls swap into a 94-96 240sx, but its hard finding a cheap donor that hasn't been drifted into a wall by a teenager.

a lsx under 100 cubes? that's a logical argument

Here is an ls6 with 400 rwhp:

just a quick search there might be many more examples...

^ hahahhaa see man, 400 whp is no stretch, I don't know where you could possibly fathom that stock 405 hp rated engines cannot make that in WHP with something like an exhaust and intake easily, which are needed when putting them in an FD.

GO HUG A SPINNING TRIANGLE.

lol.

My bud doing the ls1 swap is using a 98 motor in his 87 FC. he ordered 2002 but company is crap and sent wrong thing.. blah blah blah. anyway. hes doing ls6 intake, heads, cam, exhaust, few other goodies of course, tune. and expects to make around 400 whp.... He has talked to henson I do believe and they say that is a very good possibility with what he plans to do.. N/A. Supercharge them and be over 650 whp.....in a car that is basically a paper weight.. Its like the perfect swap. even though he and I both agree rotarys are cool engines and belong in the RX..

Rotory motors are lame. They are weak and unreliable, but If you're a JDM fan I guess it's okay........

their reliability is lame but the engines themselves are very cool I think. Ive helped tear apart two and build two.. Pretty cool engines.

You can put these cars together for less than 20k. id say around 22k obo is a fair price, the paint doesn't look matched on the bumper

How can a motor be cool if it's not reliable? It's not cool if you have to go through multiple rebuilds and wasting money in the process.
