I had a 99 GSX once.It wasn't as clean. Your DSM is amazing. Very clean!

 

You guys gotta take a Dremel to that black piece in the mouth. Cleans up the front end and allows more flow to your IC. Of course, you have to either cut or ditch the front bumper, but...

 

Depends. I'm also trying to flow air a particular way and close up as many empty spaces as I can in my bumper. As you can see I'm not done. It was just fresh out of the body shop in that picture.

I also re-mounted my fmic flush against the frame and lowered it a couple inches more than it was in that picture. I'll have a 4" ETS fmic, rather huge B&M trans cooler, then the radiator almost back to back to back. Then a b&m oil cooler in the driver side vent area.

 

Very clean OP. Is that hood CF? I remember seeing it on DSMPurity but don't remember.

And how did your UICP get oxidated like that?
