A joint effort by Mitsubishi (three diamonds) and the Chrysler Corporation (penta-star) to build some of the most incredible automobiles in the world. The vehicles were produced with the names Eagle Talon, Mitsubishi Eclipse, and Plymouth Laser. DSM cars are assembled in Normal, Illinois. The '94-and-up Mitsubishi Galant is also assembled at the DSM plant in IL; previous Galant's were assembled in Japan. The Eclipse and Galant (since '89) share the same platform. so tech anything built after 94 and is not a dsm. but most people use the term to denote any 1g 2g turbo eclipse talon laser (this happens to be the platforms that run the 4g63). and i personally include the 2g spyder in it but many do not. that is why most do not consider 3000gt a dsm.

3/S cars were ALL made in Japan, not in Normal, IL.

My first car, 93 GSX
Got it when I was 16, before I had my license even. My dad used to let me take it to school, drop me off, and then take it home hahahaha.
Ended up being a Frank Stg 5 Turbo, HKS WG, 660's, S-afc, AFPR, etc...at 10psi it ran an 13.8 @ 100, absolutely untuned. It was my entrance into the world of tuning.
Sold that, bought the 95 TSI FWD
B16G, S-AFC, 550's, Wally 255, FP2 Cams, etc...real quick car @ 24psi, tranny went out, and traded it clean swap for the car below:
95 TSI AWD converted to 2GB Eclipse
BB 50 Trim, DSMLink, Meth Injection, Magnus SMIM, 272's, etc...it wasn't running when I got it, I got it running by replacing a fuel pump relay ($3 lol), and sold it for $4.5k
That was my last DSM...then came the 2005 SRT4 which I currently have, and now I also own my 2005 Evo
