So the shipping company is going to pay 50k for each of those cars? Even the mini van and the Jeep!? looks like $300,000 that they will be "paying" for plus the truck. It just sounds strange that the guy would brush you of also. I will keep an I out as well.

Sad to hear your story.

I hope you get some of your money back (or hopefully your car intact).

There are many shady auto shippers; it's really a service where you get what you pay for (i.e. closed container, top level preference, door-to-door service).

Sad to see this happen in Sayreville, an area which I pass through all the time on the way to work.

BTW, most shippers an insurance policy to cover incidents; I hope you signed up for that.

Once again good luck.

how many days did it take before it was recovered? Did it retain a clean title?

probably was an inside job. Truck driver probably just drove it somewhere like nothing happened. I'm sure there was more people involved in the heist. Get a lot of evidence then report it to the FBI. Think they have a a hot line for transactions like that, good luck!

they dotn give 50... they give up to 50....

if its a 30k car you get whatever its worth whether its new or used...

if its a brand new 80k car and the owner doesnt have insurance, hes only gonna get 50 and be s.o.l. with the other 30k

A week

I bought it in Japan and shipped free through the military

Titled later in NY with just the paperwork, nothing changed as far as title...
not listed as stolen recovery or anything like that.

If I remember correctly, I didnt have to put insurance on it for shipping

When they called me and told me it was stolen off the truck... I didnt know how to react... I just sat and waited, called the Transportation Management Office after 6 days complained and on day 7 or 8 it was found.
