I'm a little hesitant to start modding the car. I was the guinea pig for a lot of stuff for the Evo and I made a lot of mistakes. Would be nice to see someone bone up and just go for the big single.
Could you imagine this car with a 42R, slicks, lsd, etc... After the warranty is gone on this kraut rocket she is getting flogged!

I would definately word your comment differently. I am happy that I have the BMW 335i but I am not trying to to make anyone jealous, I know what you meant to say but definately you must comunicate in humble terms otherwise it might sound arrogant (I am just generalizing).
I weighted my car at the track on Friday night and it weighted 3510lbs with just a hair under 1/4 gas tank and with about an additional 20lbs of helmet and a couple of miscelaneous stuff.
That same night I drove the car to its last drop of gas and I filled 16 galons even. 16 galons should be 133lbs in weight.

BMW list the 335i coupe at 3571lbs and 3594 for the sedan. Actual weights are usually a little heavier, so I'd say 3600lbs is about right for the average car.
Rumor has it that Ford will be putting a 350hp TT V6 in the Mustang by '09......

I got a chance to drive shiv's 335.. and i was quite imoressed. The top end is much stronger than a stock turbo evo with cams tbe, tune. It pulls VERY hard throughout the powerband. The main issue the cars are having is bmw refused to give the car a diff. With an lsd they would be able to launch much better, and then get better 1/4 mile times.
In no way am i trying to say a 335 is a better race car than an evo, because it is not; however as far as an all arround car that is as fast as a well modded evo (in a straight line) it does a great job in style. The interior is classy and the body styling is fantastic. The only downfall is the price.

^^Good review. Vishnu's 335i trapped 111mph on his maiden voyage to the track, I believe he also had a prototype cat back. He complained of traction issues, basicly mirror your comments about not having a rear LSD.
6 speed manual 335Is are having much much more trouble than the Autos when launching them.
Vishnu's 335I trapped the 111mph with his original Procede software version, there are now like 2 or 3 newest versions each version producing an average of 20 whp -42whp more each update.
I still think that running 111mph on a bad 2.3 60' and with a weight of 3600lbs and no raear LSD is a great trap speed, wouldn't you agree?

I would agree. I,m due to get my 335i coupe, space grey metalic, sport package, aluminum trim w/black leather.6spd MT around the end of august. I am so excited after reading everything about it on Bimmerforums i cant wait. I plan on leaving it bone stock until all the tuning products work out all there bugs, then i,ll make my decision on which one to get. All i plan on doing is the tune, nothing else. If i had to make a choice right now it would be tough between the turbo tuner or Shivs unit. I,ll just wait and see.

Turbo Tuner is a good bang for the buck however when compared to the Procede V2.0 is simply no match. The Procede comes with so many more features and it even incorporates launch control.
Also , remember that it is a lifetime upgrade free. I additionally purchased the LCD code display reader, it was only an additional $65. The good is that the turbo tuner cost like half of the Procede.
Either way, good thinking on your side, the tuners are working day and night on providing us with a better and cheaper software, just wait and see what others are running.

As the title says, the BMW 335i put down and extra 26.7whp/49.3lb/tq to the wheels on a Dynojet by putting a 3"DP with no cats. No other mods on the car
This car comes with 4 cats. A few weeks ago I posted that this same engine produced and extra 100whp/126lbtq to the wheels with just a plug and play piggyback.
What this means? not much, while the power gains seem to be out of the question, the car still needs to earn his place on the racing department.
The downside on the BMW is that perhaps a set of 3"DP would cost you a few hundreds while I bought a new DP for my Evo 9 that cost me $149.. big difference uh?

I wonder how loud the ultra-quiet 335 can be with a full 3" catback+dp+decat. The power is awesome but a full 3" system may ruin the perfect balance between performance/noise the 335 displays.
