I still like the Skyline better, Can't wait for these 2 cars to be out and see some test results. Either way, u can't go wrong with either car.

Good looking car!

Wheels are a little Bling for me.

0-60 ...4.8. I was hoping for better.

3990 lbs a little chumby.

420 hp . Should have gone for 450 -500.

Wonder what the MSRP will be on it?

Where did you read that figure?
I thought the brochure stated its curb weight was 1,655kg which should be approximately 3,648lbs.

You are so nahive bro. If the 335i is making 4.8sec basicallly in every single road magazine and it lacks on Rear LSD and it only has "300hp" what makes you think that this BMW M-3 with 120hp more, better traction and better tires will do?

My estimation is that this car will probably run a flat 13 or 12.8sec@108-109mph 1/4 with a 4.5-4.6sec 0-60 .

I think BMW is being very conservative. Just look at what the new 335i are doing, the M-3 in theory should perform even better.

Quit it people!! The 335i is a pig and BMW advertized a 0-60 in mid 5s with the Auto. The car is actually doing 4.8s all accross the board.

This M-3 will do better. For God sake look at the older BMW E-46 M-3, it was a underachiever compared to this new one(less power, less displacement, lesser torque 268lb/tq vs 295lb/tq) and still managed a 4.8sec in most magazines .

You guys must have more hope, trust me.

Carlos

Carlos,

You are probably right on this. How is your 335i doing? Nice to see that it bettered the M Coupe in Car and Drivers Lightning Lap at VIR.

Good thanks!! loving it more everyday (but that is what I always said on other new cars I purchased in the past ).

Seriously, I love this car, it pulls from the traffic lights like a Mother FO with only barely hitting the gas. Shifting is efortelss and superfast (I have the steptronic).
The gas mileage is out of comprehension, this car is a cigarrete gas lighter in terms of gas mileage, so efective. I went to Phoenix (103 miles at 80mph with the A/C and did not even consumed a 1/4 gas tank)

Taking it to the dyno possibly this week and installing the Vishnu Procede piggyback perhaps this week.

As far is the comparisson on the VIR, yes I saw it, I think is a combo of good chasi, excellent brakes(just as good as the Evos brakes) a great roll aceleration, a perfacet weight distribuition of 50/50, and other stuff like adaptive steering, EBC, DTC and Dynamic stability control.
