How fast do you think this sucker will run the quarter? I'm curious, its not AWD, but lighter, has more power, and "launch assistant". On the standard 997TT, I've heard between mid 11's and low 12's, that's probably the disparity from the different trannies.

I voted for all of them because it depends on the driver/conditions..

Plus you failed at the poll... so you deserved it..

I say anywhere between 11.0 to 11.5, it is not only more powerful, but also lighter. Actually I have to re-examine that, and I believe mcwop23 is correct because the 997 Turbo is AWD and the 997 GT2 will be RWD. So I believe 11.5 to 12.0@120-125mph will be around what it runs. About as quick and fast as a 2007 Corvette Z06, maybe a little quicker and faster.

It should be a little quicker and faster than a Z06. It weighs a little less, has a little more power, and a lot more weight over the rear tires making for a better launch.

You don't really buy a GT2 to go in a straight line though

I know, of COURSE you don't get a GT2 to go in a straight line. It was just a question I was curious about, because of the different setup. We'll see numbers soon, I imagine.

it should definitely be good for low to mid 11's. my 997TT ran 11.5x stock. with drag radials and ideal conditions, possibly a 10.9x run. i would suspect with the extra HP and lower weight, trap speeds should exceed 125 mph.
