Not a very surprising time considering it had full turbo back, header, and filter. I remember when people thought the Sti would crack 12's stock...but for some reason,on average, they are just a tick quicker than the Evo...

Cool, I guess shifting into 5th in the 1/4 really hurts them.

Edit:
Oh, race gas.

Nice numbers. Realistically though with headers, a full 3" exhaust, and air filter its about what I would expect I guess. A little better 60ft time and he would have been closer to 12.7 probably.

I also noted that someone else reported a black STi netting a best time of 14.2 @ 98mph, at a track that is considered to be a "fast" track.

One thing the EVO and STi share in common is the fact that the drivers ability to launch and drive these AWD cars effectively can result in a pretty big swing in numbers.

It seems that it isn't much of a wow to say it has so much more HP then the Evo 8's. THe funny thing was it had turbo back, intake and was running on Racing fuel. SO it seems to me that evo and STi are pretty much equal.

Those are good times, but I thought it might be a little faster than that.

No intake a panel filter, Race fuel?? might be because in PR they only can get 89 oct at the pump. So anything they can use to help. With the factory WRX STI ECU it has learning Ing advance. A bump in Oct helps big time. I would if he used a MBC.

Am I reading this right, the STI had full turbo back exhaust, after-market exhaust manifold (aka header), intake, and race gas? I would have expected it to be alot quicker than that if so... Evo's with same mods or less are running more mph and quicker et's.

Very, very good point N10S. Now if we could figure out a way to perform a great launch w/o burning up the stock clutch.
